Dwellsmith is operated by Danielle Morrill. We're building software to help households manage tasks, relationships, helpers, and home maintenance. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

When you use Dwellsmith, we may collect:

• → Account info: Name, email address, and password
• → Household data: Household name, members, and management preferences
• → Task data: Tasks, schedules, categories, and completion history
• → Relationship contacts: Names and roles of people in your household network (family, helpers, service providers)
• → Onboarding conversations: Messages you send during the AI-powered onboarding chat
• → Usage data: Basic analytics like page views and feature usage

How we use your data

• → To provide and improve the Dwellsmith service
• → To personalize your household management experience
• → To send you service-related emails (account confirmations, feature updates)
• → To understand how people use the product so we can make it better

AI processing

Dwellsmith uses AI (specifically Anthropic's Claude) to power features like the onboarding chat and task suggestions. When you interact with these features, your messages are sent to the Anthropic API for processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.

We only send the data necessary for the feature to work. We do not send your entire account history to AI providers.

What we don't do

• → We do not sell your data. Ever.
• → We do not share your data with advertisers
• → We do not use your household data to train AI models

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and follow standard security practices. That said, no system is perfectly secure — we're honest about that.

Your rights

You can:

• → Request a copy of your data
• → Ask us to delete your account and all associated data
• → Update or correct your information at any time through the app

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We don't use third-party tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
